PAYE Underpayment - Advice Required

    Hi All,

Would anybody be able to advise me on a PAYE underpayment?

I was drafting my Form 12S for 2012 this evening and I noticed that my PAYE paid looked way off. After doing a bit of investigating I am now certain that there is a significant underpayment of about €7k for 2012.

    1) What payment options are available to me to pay Revenue? As was a genuine error are there any deadlines when this needs to be paid?

    2) If I don't pay by 31st Of October will Revenue likely apply penalties and surcharges?

    3) I have requested a P21 balancing statement. Will revenue calculate my tax liability for me, and then I can just pay the balance?

I am a PAYE worker, with some minor exempting income (rent a room) and deposit interest. There error seems to have arisen because I moved jobs during 2012. My new employer has messed up my PAYE calculation for 6 months income last year (they had all my information, P45 etc).

    Thanks in advance
