My mates sister told me yesterday that she was getting a social welfare payment of €38 per month to feed her dog

The tax office will give credits for blind persons who have a guide dog,

Also persons who are on welfare can get a bit of help from Dogs Trust & The Blue Cross, they charge reduced rates for persons on social welfare.
