(Ten really cool things Mike Spencer Bown did while becoming the world’s most extensively travelled person)

He is in Ireland at the moment, it's the last country he had to visit. He has been on the ray D'Arcy show a few times

The most well travelled man I ever knew was never on an aeroplane or boat in his life. My Granda.

He won't have that title for long if Big Joe Joyce gets in the know.

I dunno whether to feel proud or pissed off that we were last.

Makes me not want to travel now. Drank Guinness and wasn't impressed. So rest of the world is clearly worse.

not really - i would hardly compare my huge mileage on the m50 to this guys world travels - i was being sarcastic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSHaCzb3yYk ;)

I'd say he is a right pain in the hole. Reverse travel snob

You haven't really experienced South Africa unless you have shared a traditional meal of ingersplikkunfort with the Xhosa tribe and.....

I prefer the perennial Irish question on travel

"yeah I was in country X"
    "Nice was it?"
    "Yeah lovely, great weather"
    "How much was the pint?"

Is this the video that some boardsies were actually on? If it's the one that is filmed in Dublin.

I think he came here last because if he came here first he would have no money to go anywhere else !

I'd say he isn't. He is right about not really travelling if you only stop off in places for a night. Nothing wrong with what he did, it's quite admirable and I imagine he was humbled enough by his experiences to not be one of those sort of twats that say that sort of shite.

I hope he kept a journal, would love to read a book about it.

On the topic of travels, have a read of "The incredible voyage" by Tristan Jones.
