ABS light, Opel Vivaro

hi guys,
i have a 07 opel vivaro 2.0 l
in the last week or so, the abs and engine management light have come on a few times, but would be gone again when restart next time..so on and off in the last week...what would be causing this ..?

So they come on together and go off together?
They are two different things so that is odd alright.

You should get the stored fault codes read. Is there any work done at all to the car in the last while?

its a vivaro van.....
well i presumed that the engine management light would come on cause the abs fault light came on....just would like to find out whats may be causing it before going to a garage...

oh and no work has been done on van for a year or so, well i changed oil and filters myself alright..thats it..

I don't think an ABS fault would cause the engine light to come on. Does the ABS work when the ABS light is off?

im presuming the abs is working,,
all the lights come on as usual when starting van, then go off before starting ...van is going fine etc..could it just be a bad connection perhaps??

It could be anything, without error codes it's pretty much impossible to say.

Other way around I would think. If the van has ESP it will be disabled if a fault occurs with the engine management, hence bringing on the light. As others have said, have it scanned.

if it continues to come on, then ill bring it to a garage,,didnt come on yesterday when i was driving it....tks guys..
