job help

Im working for family and I hate it the money isint great but its money
I have a morgage and am married
work envolves been away from home for a week or 2 sometimes
and not been told if im working on monday then getting a phone call to say I am working and packing a bag for a week away only coming back 2 days later because a machine broke down and having to go home and get a call to say were going someplace else with a different machine
I cannot plan anything im basically been told im working at a drop of a hat at 3pm in the day
its a family business and I don't want to rock the boat ill be upsetting alot of people dad uncles cousins and the wife
any help

Yeah ive looked going to try argos
at least ill have a roster of some sort
dont mind shift work, just hate waiting around all day on the phone to ring
I feel trapped in that way alone
imagine your boss every monday saying ill call you we might be working then at 9pm that night your told yeah come on in and bring a night bag we could be a few days here . Only to travel all that way start work and come home 2 hours later with 2 hours money in your back pocket
