    Hi I have recently passed my theory test and am now looking to get insured on a car but I have Been getting quotes up
    To 4000 which is way to dear for a 1.0l car I was wondering does anyone know how to get insurance down or which
    Would be the cheapest car to get insured thanks :))

    Your best bet would be to ask a mod to move this to the motors section.

    Insurance wise the only thing to do is get out the golden pages and ring every single insurance company and broker.
    Go with the one that gives you the best quote.

    To get it down significantly id advise getting your mam to insure the car in her name and add you as a named driver

    With First Ireland, I got a quote for €1500!
    All I had to do was complete 10 driving lessons with one of their instructors :)

    Campions actually quoted me €1400 but had no benefits. All I had to do with them was complete 10 lessons with any instructor.

    Try chill.ie they got me a great quote a few months ago wasnt too bad for a 23 year old on a 1.4 im not driving that long 2 years
