WIndows 8 estimated data usage

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of the Windows 8 estimated data usage facility. I seems to be reporting usage higher than it actually is. I have tried another usage monitor and it is reporting usage quite a bit lower than the Windows 8 monitor.
