Great news to see new Ryanair routes from Shannon. It might make the Aer Lingus flights come down a bit in price. Anyone know when these are due to start and when they will be online?

with further announcements for other airports due in the coming weeks. hopefully a few decent new flights from cork will be announced. was always surprised by the lack of flights to Germany from either.
way prefer using Shannon or Cork than going up to Dublin airport

Prices are online now. Looking at Shannon to Faro. Not as good as I thought. When you add a bag and reserved seating, the price is not much cheaper than Aer Lingus. I think I will wait and see will there be a bit of a battle with the prices.

But you have to pay for a bag with Aer Lingus and to reserve a seat (unles you do it within 30 hours of departure), so are you really comparing like with like?

Great news on the Shannon flights. Very disappointed they didn't restore the Shannon-Murcia flight. How do they decide these routes?

Wonderful news for Shannon airport. Really really hope that this is the start of bringing Shannon airport back to being a fully used airport.

Booked Shannon to Fuertaventura in June for €325 incl reserved seating for 2 the first day the prices went "LIVE". Went back yesterday to look at current prices and was surprised to see nothing at all available for this route ( Saturday's from April to October). Is this a computer glitch or have they pulled this route already due to very poor sales ? Hotel and car booked but thank God did not have to pay any deposits !

Ok, got through to Ryanair on their 95c premium call centre. At first I was told the Shannon Fuertaventura seats were not on sale yet but when I told the Ryanair call centre guy that I already had booked my flight he put me on hod for 15 secs, then informed me the route was under review and I would be informed in December if they were going ahead with it. When I requested a refund on my booking he said that was not possible so I am stuck with it until Ryanair makes up its mind. I want to fly from Shannon and would book a flight to another destination if this was sorted out now. So much for the promised customer service from MOL.

Flights to Fuertuventura seem to be on sale again.
