1 is blue, 1 is green!

British Eagle 'Reynolds 531 All Terrain'

55cm top tube, 51.5cm seat tube, 130mm rear dropouts

British Eagle 'Reynolds 531 All Terrain'

55cm top tube, 49.5cm seat tube, 130mm rear dropouts

both in good condition, they have the usual dents from U-Lock usage on the top tube that happens with 531atb tubing, TT was oversized and thin. both frames structurally sound, tubes all straight, dropouts straight. paint is fair to good. last time I looked there was no rust, just scrapes/scratches.

would make great winter single speed bikes with snow tyres! horizontal dropouts. I have a new tange silver and stronglight black headset to choose from and will fit it.

so price each for frame, forks, headset is 60 euro.
good price for 531 mtb frames. rare enough to find, you might see the odd 501 raleigh which is alot heavier.

frames are in Newbridge, would suit best if they could be collected there but I could haul them up on the train possibly

Are these old style i.e. quill stem.

    Any pics ?

sorry forgot that info, ye 1inch quill stem,
and Ill include free seatpost, they take either 26.4 or 26.6( they both have different internal diameters as theres a couple of yrs between them so they slightly changed the model), I have suntour and kalloy posts, 1 is new anyway

might have a few old steel 25.4mm stems for free but nothing fancy

Ill get pics up in a couple of days, they might clean up nicely

I also have an early model Raleigh mtb frameset, it takes a 22.1mm quill stem which I have, its a new threadless adapter so you can use a modern stem with it. has a nice paintjob,
its heavy but strong! I bet if you crashed it you'd be checking the road for damage rather than the bike!

    Great.
Just need to check the sizing(I have an 80's Peugeot Ocean Express -501).
My only concern is the brakes-the rear one on the Peugot is attached under the chainstay- so I may be in trouble but I'll get back to you.

hi, not sure if Vizzy is taking one, were you looking to buy both or just one? Ill be around on Monday anyway.

I also have a Raleigh 531 race frame but its had its paint stripped so will need painting, 50euro with the original 531 forks. the forks are primed and I think I already put a few of coats of matte white so they prob just need laquer. Its a very smooth finish as the moment

Sorry Kumate, I meant to get back to you yesterday.
It looks like that the frames are slightly too small.

59cm(centre to top) seat tupe, 57cm (c-c) top tube. can double check tomorrow but 95% sure, could be .5mm off!

Ill include a new saddle and a used but great condition seatpost with the raleigh racer frameset

ill throw in a like new saddle with either of the raleigh mtb's, and theres some 26" rims available for free, all 32h or 36h,
