Hi, I'm currently building a PC and realized that I don't have an optical drive for installing software, like a hard copy of Windows 8. I was wondering if someone could recommend a suitable drive that isn't too expensive, has good reviews and has good value.
    Thanks!

I can't remember the last time i used an Optical Drive.. You can Install windows from an ISO Win7 Here via USB and just use they key off the disk...most software can be downloaded now also. If you are set on a drive I'd just go for the cheapest. There's no point in spending on a fortune unless you are going to be using it for burning a lot of disks and even then i'd be hard set to pay much more.

I saw this for €17 would you say it would be suitable as you said I'd only be using a few times in its whole life.

That would do the job but unless you are buying a large amount of items HWVS's €18.99 shipping fee is a bit on the hefty side when you are paying €17 for the item. better off looking for somewhere with free shipping maybe.. amazon or even the irish stores which will have significantly lower shipping

    elara, pixmania, dabs ect...

yes I was going to try pixmania for free shipping, so should I get it its pretty cheap and seems good enough for being used once or twice
