Drying lining issue

I'm looking to dry line the external wall of two bedrooms. The house is a complete ice box in the winter (new arrival on the way) and no matter how long the heating is on the place never really warms up, as soon as the heat is off within 10mins the place is freezing again.
I've added foil insulation to the backs of the radiators (this helped slightly), I've sealed around the windows and door where there are massive drafts. About 2yrs ago i sealed the wall vents but that quickly led to mould so they were unblocked.
Ill only be here for another winter while we build so was looking to do the job as cheap as possible.
The walls are solid stone/rubble with no cavity or insulation in place. I was planning on just fixing insulated slabs directly to the wall. I hadn't planned on skimming them. Is this a good idea or should I fix batts to the wall first and then the slabs.

    Any info is appreciated.

If I had that issue and was moving after, I would do a heat loss calculation and size the rad to suit, cheeper option imo. Over size the rad by .5kw.

Check out SEAI.ie web site for available insulation grants.

Would your budget stretch to external wall insulation.

Is oil boiler old? Think of having a stove?

    Post a few photos.

Ill look into the cost of two larger rads for the rooms.

The budget for this job is as close to zero as possible so I'm fairly sure that rules out EwI.
I have a condensing gas boiler which is approx 4 yrs old. Stove isn't an option either.

I should say the two walls in question are approx 8m
