Fishing in Lusk

    Anyone know if its possible to fish in lusk or must you head to rush? would be interested to know of any good spots in either of these places.

    Firstly, one needs water to fish, and there is not a huge amount of that around Lusk.

    There is plenty of sea around Rush alright, but you really need to know what you are at to get the best fishing from it.

    Rogerstown estuary is a popular fishing spot all yer round. Often 10 or 15 people along the estuary.

    Have seen 1 or 2 shore fishing. The harbour in Rush also gets a few fishing from it. A few go around to the Crows nest which is the rocks behind Tower St

    The inland fisheries board reckoned there were salmonids(salmon or trout species- I'd say brown/sea trouts) in one of the streams that flow into rogerstown

    Came to light as part of the sewage plant investigations
