Hi guys just wondering if a bjj gi would be suitable for a judo comp?

Depends on the competition to be honest, but I would pay it on the safe side. Given the cost of entering, and all the time you invest in training for it, getting told you can't compete because of your suit would be a real waste.

I don't know how are strict they are in judo, but certainly according to the rules nearly all BJJ gis are not legal in judo competition.
