Hey guys, just need a bit of advice in regards to my current situation....

I'm back in college doing a level 7 course and have applied for the grant. Its being assessed at the moment but I think that I might not get it due to my circumstances.....will I drop out now or stay and wait months to get a decision?

I can't afford the student contribution fees (3.2k) despite working part time and living at home with my parents (they are giving no financial support).

Father is earning 38k, Mother has retired on a 40k lumpsum and no income since 2011, and I'm on back to education and working part time, my total salary for 2012-13 was 15k or so.

Really disappointed at the moment because i like my course and hungry to suceed. Any info appreciated...

Talk to your student union welfare officer

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
