    Hi all,

Long time PC enthusiast/builder, but also about three years out of touch due to college.

    1. What is your budget?
€1000. Best value really. Also, I may be able to get half price Intel, so I'll probably go with an Intel SSD (please spec as I do not know what's the best value) and i7 3770.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
CAD, FEA etc. Basically anything mechanical engineering related.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
    No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
    All new parts.

    5. Do you need a monitor?
    Yes.

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Wireless Card, Card Reader]
Keyboard, mouse and I'd like to try one of the Space Pilot controllers.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
    That's a given! :D

    8. How can you pay?
    Any form.

    9. When are you purchasing?
Between now and January, will be used for University.

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
'Tis grand, I'll manage. My OCD with cables would drive anyone crazy! :pac:

Looks good although I'd say your overspending on the ram. You can get identical spec ram for about €70.

I'd change the monitor to one of the newer LG ah-ips panels as well. They are making the best lcd panels at the moment.

What are you going to cool that 4770k with?

I'd grab a silenced case like the Nanoxia deep silence 1 as well. Raging it wasn't out when I did my build.
