I like the rain and this is my favourite time of year, I was going to make my childhood treat today rice pudding with stewed apple but it is not cold enough to get the best out of the treat. I use to love it after walking home from school on a cold November day.

Ya I love the rain too love the sound of the raindrops hitting the ground it's my favourite kind of weather

Love it, October is the best month of the year. Nothing beats being off on a weekday with nowhere to go and it's just pouring rain, heating on, mug of tea, good movie, absolute bliss. I feel way more content in bad weather than I do when it's sunny, it's really relaxing.

I do. I think it's great, kind of relaxing. I don't mind walking around in the rain. When I get to wherever I'm going I just dry myself off.

If I've nowhere to go and well stocked up, I don't mind it, but, if I'm driving or out and a about its a pain in the arse.

I like it when I don't have to go out in it. I don't drive and it's too humid for a hat so I can't carry 2 shopping bags and an umbrella so I end up having to shop more often.

    This rain I like.

    Monsoon rain I love.

We've not had a good rain storm in years, all weather systems have blown through, except the heatwave earlier, that did stick around for a while, but the rain have been disappointing.

We've had 60mm rain potential and only got 20mm's, it's been like that all year, the heavy rain is just blowing through and going on to give England a bad time.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,043 ✭✭✭MurdyWurdy

Strangely, I'd prefer if it was a bit colder. I find rain but it being mild enough strange and you get really warm and sweaty when you go out in it because the rain makes you think it's colder than it is.

I do like rain though - love being cosy inside :)

The rain is much like the snow. Its grand until you have to drive somewhere and the roads are jammed with plebs who don't have a ****ing breeze how to drive in adverse conditions.

My post felt way too 'nice' so I made it more badass by putting in curses.

Is that some 'on-another-level sh!t' or do you actually live in a desert where there is no precipitation?

    EDIT: just checked your location.

I love it too. I was kayaking alone yesterday on Lough Corrib. It was flat clam with not a breath of wind, the only sound was the rain hitting the water. Id say a lot of people have never noticed this but rain forms little beads on a flat lake before sinking in, it was very relaxing.

irish people cant dress well in the summer .
liverpool jerseys and hawaiian board shorts with white socks.I'm no Gok Wan but we could learn a thing or two from our continental brethren when it comes to warm weather attire.

the winter has the added bonus of hiding the fluorescent boob tubes and eire 32 tattoos.

a cleansing precipitation if you will

Damp clothes, idiots driving into puddles, grey sky, being unable to see (glasses wearer!), unable to hang laundry out, greater potential to catch colds, sore throats, etc., yeah rain is great
