    Have a mate looking at a BMW 320 - 2003

I've seen the car before, In top knick exterior and interior wise, not a mark on her.

He knows the guy too and he knows how the car is driven and looked after.

Has a service history, not full - 1 or 2 missing here and there.

    Has 140k on the clock.

The guy is looking for €3000

Basically what he wants to know is it a good price???

Kinda hard i know without seeing it, but i didn't want to say yes or no.

    Sound good?

I think anything between 2600-3000 is a fair price if she is well looked after and doesnt need any impending major works done.

All to often people see below 2K on donedeal but generally your paying for the poor condition.

Buy on condition and service history.

    Is it coupe or saloon?

Price can vary quite a bit depending on spec also. A 320ci m sport will go for over 3k, a 320i famine spec saloon would be closer to 2k I would imagine.

No none of that really, Aftermarket CD player.

I know he took the front seats out and threw in the bucket type.

Other than that think its pretty standard.

It's hard to say because there isn't a whole pile of them on the market.

I would think it's worth roughly about 2500 but it all depends on condition really.

At that mileage it would want to have a lot of parts already changed, such as suspension parts, cooling system parts etc. Receipts for those would be good.

that 2L engine can be a moneypit, also have subframe checked. Anything else on those cars tends to be expected wear and tear, i.e. suspensions, brake discs and pads, cooling system or bits of it may need replacing, if they havent already been. In my opinion, if going for the saloon, tell him to go for a 520, far better car, far less goes wrong... Take a look at the below for example...

Without a link to the car its hard to put a value on it, but based on what you have said, Id say low 2's at a push and even at that given the superior alternatives, I wouldnt pay it personally...

put it this way, myself and my bro have been stung badly with the 318's (that were far newer and more expensive at the time) at the kind of money your mate is looking at, we have spent a multiple of that on repairs, we both now have 6 cylinders for the past 3 years in my case and 1.5 years in his case and they havent missed a beat or presented any problems!

ust browsing donedeal and came across this!
