Selling 4-5 year old Oak trees.

I have 1800-2000 4/5 year oak trees and am looking to move them on. I will be planting approx 300 trees on the land and ideally would like to sell on the remaining trees. About a third are Sessile oaks from a native forest.

Just wondering if anyone has sold similar aged trees and if you have any ideas on the best way to offload them. Advert in done deal?

    Any feedback appreciated.

    Where r u? How much for 50?

I'd say done deal would be as good as any - garden centres may also be interested

What kind of ground suits these best? I'd love to plant a few here and there but I don't know if they would thrive.

Figerty: Oaks are pretty hardy. We have some poorer land grazing land and the plan is to plant this area with Sessile oak. We have about 300 8 year old trees out and they are growing well. The tricky part is making sure you dig up and plant the trees when they are dormant.

DK man: I am in Sligo. I have no idea about cost, but if someone was to collect them then they would go cheap :) I will stick up a few pics tomorrow. These trees have pretty much been left to themselves. We also have about 9000 3/4 year old trees. My dad hand picked every single acorn, crazy man.

I am def interested in selling them but I would rather put up some pics or a video so people would know what they look like. Will get a video now actually.

Sorry for the delay. These are the trees in question (these aren't the sessile trees). So far no pruning has been done so they look a bit wild. If a person wanted some they would have to be able to collect them or meet in Tubbercurry in Sligo as this would be the closest town to us.

I'm not sure if the Sessile trees will be sold. The acorns were all collected from Union wood so ideally we would like to have them replanted there. Unfortnatuly I have zero faith in the management of this forest as they seem unable to protect trees from hares and fallow dear.
