A couple of nice races tomorrow in Kempton. Really looking forward to The New One vs. Rock on Ruby.

Anyone looking for some free money ladbrokes have priced up Sea Lord at 8/11 in the listed race at 3.20. Looks wrong to me had him as more of a 4/7 shot. Really didnt expect to be having a bet in this race but ding ding ding. Thank you Ladbrokes!!
    haha:pac::pac:

Cause of Causes looks very well handicapped in the 3:55 @ Cork

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 349 ✭✭shy-tall-knight

Agree with Cause of Causes but they've been been taking the absolute mickey with him in beginners chases'. As a result it's hard to know if today will be his day but it's a valuable race so it may well be. Bookies not taking any chances with his price at the moment anyway.

I reckon a nice flat track like Cork will suit Cootamundra and getting weight from his main rivals, looks a good bet in the 16:30.

If there is anything near odds against on Johann Strauss tomorrow at Naas he is a lump job

Sea lord could be a dark horse in the supreme

Not a hope though, he's 3/10 on Betfair.

No liquidity I'd say he'll open up 4/6

not even quoted by any bookies, which is strange for a 150 rated novice hurdler.

Not to mention his rating was achieved in a period when the stable was in such bad form they couldn't win a one runner race!

Looking forward to seeing Easter Hunt in the first at Cork tomorrow, plenty of good talk about this one could be a star in the making. Wouldn't touch it at the price in a maiden hurdle but hopefully he gets off to a nice start. Interesting Russell picks him over the other Gigginstown horse

Russell mentioned that Gigginstown one in the first as one to look forward to in an interview recently hence why he's going to be 7/4 2/1..

Weld filly simply love in the birdcatcher would have a chance @ 5/1

Badgerfort of JPs in the maiden hurdle at Naas of fentons was bought by jp after he ran well at punchestown first time out beaten 5 lengths by Moyle Park,if hes trying he should give the odds on poke of Nagles a race.

Rasmeyaa of welds in the fillies listed race has a great chance on its 2 lengths 3rd to feiosolina.

The full sister to Dawn Approach goes again in the maiden at Naas.

Does anybody fancy Our Conor to do the business at Naas today?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Lads am I missing something, most over priced horse of the day surely has to be Ballinalacken in the last at Kempton. Won on its hurdles debut at Gowran in June, yet is 25/1 in this novice that doesn't even look that strong

He has no chance.Has to give weight to horses rated higher and he wont be knocked about. He was only an average horse on the flat so less than 20/1 is poor value.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Sting that is a strange post

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,500 ✭✭✭✭cson

In fairness I'd always be wary of a NH horse taking on born and bred Flat types. Especially on a first run back this season. He may well make a mockery of this post but the ~3/1 on offer is no value in my eyes. O'Briens horse gave a good account in the Cesarewitch and to me is an e/w bet to nothing.

No Cash Flow going in the bumper today.
That useless **** of a jock is on again so i'll be steering clear.

Why.His price today is based on two things rather than the conditions of the race.Firstly his hurdling ability is considered secondly the monies gained on Our Conor goes to charity. If I was pricing up the race I would have Twilight Zone fav.

His price has nothing to do with the charity aspect. Of course his hurdling ability is built into the price, rightly as with every other hurdler returning to the flat. He never ran beyond 9 furlongs on the flat bar a trot round on debut so his flat form is slightly skewed. You're not offering a price by any chance seeing as you make him a 20's shot?

He took an age to get going and definitely shaped like the best horse in the race.
Looks a tricky ride and a step up in trip will definitely see him in better light and he is definitely capable of winning a maiden of that caliber and possibly more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,818 ✭✭✭ste2010

The new ones price is ridiculous. People are mad to be backing him at the price. Rock on ruby is no tree, you can dismiss his run on heavy at punchestown and your left with a strong creditable second in the champion. Although I feel the trip will prob suit the new one just as much he still has lbs to find which I think he may well do but at prices like that ill stay clear.

Rasmeyaa very very short here. I'd give Wannabe Better an each way shout

Thanks Kiers. Favourite was way too short, actually backed that filly in the Matron when she ran down the field thought she had a bit of class winning at Killarney before that

A little tougher than i thought it would be for him. Was sure i done my dough when the word came through that the ground had changed and he drifted to evens.
    Happy days though.

Ya the favourite was a scandolous price alright. Im pretty sure i had a small e/w bet on her in Tipp on Super Sunday. Wasnt even really looking at Naas until i seen your post. She done it nicely in the end.

The New One will slaughter ROR. Anyone got a stream for it?

I think The New One will win comefortably. Will strip much fitter than ROR.

If he is as good as he looked last year and if he is to be considered a genuine Champion Hurdle he should win snugly given the highest rated horse is 96, to be a champion hurdle contender you should be able to run to about 103+ on the flat imo.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,173 ✭✭✭hucklebuck

The New One should win easy, ROR is never great first time out and New One looks a machine.

I had fancied Our Conor to win it but after that it will take a major step up to beat ANO and I can't see anything that ran last year beating him.

They said he was 25 lengths quicker than Sea Lord and off a slower pace and he was eased down 100 metres from the line
