Does anyone know of any recruitment agencies in Ireland that hire for bar positions on cruise ships?

I have been on a few cruises. The staff are over worked and underpaid. Most modern ships are cash free transactions so bar staff get no tips. Most staff are from piss poor countries with few other options.

I'm not aware of any reputable companies in Ireland offering cruise ship recruitment. http://www.vikingrecruitment.com/ would be one of the best UK companies and worth talking to. If anyone starts looking for cash up front, walk away, it's a scam.

Don't you pay a daily fee instead that gets shared between the staff?

No. I sailed with Royal Caribbean . Each guest left an envelope in their stateroom for their head waiter, wine waiter, maitre'd and room attendant. Staff like bar staff and entertainers get nothing because every time you order a drink at the bar you get a different bar man, so you don't develop a rapport with them. You pay by swiping your key , just like a credit card. Nobody carries cash on board , you only use it ashore or when you disembark finally to settle your bill.

Think I was on a royal caribbean cruise and you could write a tip on the receipt to be taken off your card. But they are a US company so tipping is the norm. Tipping would depend on the customers and what company you work for.
