I want to get rid of it using something eco friendly.

Maybe vinegar/salt solution in a spray bottle?

I had a problem with moss on my tarmac driveway and about 18 months ago I bought one of the large boxes of washing powder (cheap in Lidl) and sprinkled it on the affected area and left for a few weeks and then power washed it off - it can be brushed also.

    Never had an issue since.
