I use this one. Bit expensive, but I'll probably get around eight years out of it, so cheap enough.

Thanks, is there much room to write a story about the day?

I use a "page a day" diary. I record everything , birds seen while out , who I went out with , where we went/shot a bird, weather condition, cartridge used, distance shot ! Everything. I use it as a reference. Ive done it for years and its nice to read back over every now and then ! Would really recommend people do it ! especially for vermin control. Even if Im out lamping and dont get a shot at a fox , ill still put it in the diary where it was seen.

i make up a page with a list of game/vermin in my area and keep a record of whats been shot each month something like the bag return the nargc send out to members.very handy too look back at and see whats been shot each month .might do up one that will tell the fields, ditchs etc where game and vermin have been shot could also be handy to have.

Yeah, it looks like like this inside.

The left side records the different type of game shot and the right hand side is blank and about A4 size so theres plenty of room to write. Like the others said I record weather and all the interesting things that happened during the day. I have around six years recorded and its interesting flicking back through the years and the good times come flooding back.

I also put other stuff into it, maybe a turkey feather or shootcard from somewhere I'd been or even a photograph I'd taken during the day. They all make the book interesting and help jog your memory. Thanks Steve, it's a great place for a shoot you have there!
