I bought a 30l Merlot kit and I'm going to make mulled wine for Christmas. Does anyone have a recipe for the spices to put in it? Also is it recommended to put them in a muslin bag in a secondary fermenter?

    Thanks

Its traditional to heat the wine with spice , but there is nothing stopping you from spicing your wine in the secondary. . The spices usually used for mulled wine are cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon/mace. Most spice could be placed in a bag, but the nutneg is going to be needed to be ground
