Croke Park - new job entrants

    Hi

Not quite sure where to place this question.

I currently work (not full time staff) for a state body with multiple departments, with all positions seeing a proportional cut to new entrants based on the Croke Park agreement.

I've been working part time for this body for the last few years but recently changed department. As I changed department they said I am now a "new civil servant entrant" and thus subject to the public service cut.

Is this correct? If not, is there any way I can object?

Did you have a CID? You should talk to your Union about the specifics of your situation.

CIDs - aren't they for teachers exclusively?

I'm afraid I don't have a union - or at least none that I know of. It's possible that SIPTU would be my de facto union - could I cold call them on the matter?
