Don't dashcams just recycle the space?

i.e. They'll have footage for a minimum time before you request it.

So just over 3 hours , its too short for me , so I may buy larger SD card.

This dashcam stores all on SD so I dont think it recycles recordings .

Yes they do, when full they overwrite the earliest recording and they usually save in many recordings of a few minutes long, not continuous to same file

Why do you need more than 3 hours? A dashcam is designed to record the 15 or so seconds before or after a incident / crash. They arn't designed for long term, quality recording. If that is what you need, you would be better off with the likes of a GoPro and swap in / out cards.
