Good price and a good brand but just for peoples information, these are not Induction compatible.

I'm in the market for some bargain Induction pans if anyone knows of anywhere.

Ikea has some good solid stainless steel frying pans, they are only about 35 quid, they aren't non stick but they should hopefully last until oblivion. I'm actually fed up of chucking non stick stuff that doesn't stand up to my lazy manly ways of using cutlery and a dishwasher.

Most of the induction stuff is 2 part as well, a steel plate with the top bit aluminium - it seems some of them are awful, I could probably wipe a hard drive trying to cook on some cheap induction stuff I got in dunnes before - oven needs to be maxed just to get a simmer

Reserved one for collection, thanks OP. Just what any college student needs, a pan that doesn't need a paint scraper and a chisel to clean :D

Just came from Woodies and bought 4 frying pans. Although they are all Tefal Specifics, the inner coating is different. It is either Expert coating which looks like letters "I" (like here) or Expert Pro coating which looks like 3D cubes (like here). Expert ones are not marked as dishwasher safe. Expert Pro are diswasher safe and can be used with metal utensils. I bought these:

TEFAL Specifics 20cm Frypan - Expert Pro
TEFAL Specifics 24cm Frypan - Expert
TEFAL Specifics 30cm Frypan - Expert Pro
TEFAL Specifics 28cm Stirfry - Expert

Will probably return that 24cm one and get 26cm instead (because of the size and hope the 26cm one will be Expert Pro).

Update: Returned 24cm one and got 26cm one which is with the Expert Pro coating.

Anyone know what the difference between the Isscencia and Specifics range is?

Thanks again OP, ive been waiting for these to come down in price, the 2 pound ikea ones are fairly bait at this stage.:pac:

I have a TEFAL Issencia 32cm Frying Pan reserved in glasnevin if anybody wants the code. I got there and realised it was too big so I bought the 28" specifics one instead.

Are these available in-store or do they have to be reserved?

Available in store, of course you may not get the exact size you want now

Has anyone else experienced problems reserving?

I tried to reserve one yesterday to pick up Monday (since they appear to honor sale prices unless they state 'ONLINE EXCLUSIVE OFFER/PRICE').

However they appeared to reserve it until end of business today, which is not exactly convenient.

I guess they don't reserve beyond the offer dates?

Just place another reservation now, it will be ready for collection up to close of biz tomorrow for you.

Im so impressed with my new wok and frying pan. These really are quality items worth the original price alone but at half price they are a steal. Gunna reserve a grill pan now.

If you reserve one now can you pick it up tomorrow for the price its reserved at or does it automatically go back to full price tomorrow?

Get them delivered and you will get the offer price, but reserve will be price on the day like argos afaik. Delivery will only be €5 so the savings made on the one or two pans will make up for the saving. If ordering a few delivery may go up to €15.

Cheers Davy, exactly what I needed. Anyone know if theres much of a difference between a Specifics pan or an Issenica pan though?

No, these ceramic ones are pretty good. Got one last year and going to get another this Thursday to have in reserve. Solid base, no sign of any distortion despite leaving it on for ages dry once. Not as easy to clean as the Teflon types as the flat surface is sort of ribbed.

By the way they are from ALDI , despite LIDL in the thread title!
