Can any recommend ideas of snacks to have in the morning before a gym workout?

Am in the gym for about 1hr 15min each morning and find that I am absolutely STARVING by the time I am finished as I am not eating before hand. Reading up on it it seems to be recommended that I should eat something before hand?

I am thinking a small pot of Natural Yogurt, or a rice cake with peanut butter - Are these ok?

    Any other suggestions very welcome!!

Coffee and a banana does it for me.

Bacon, eggs and spinach works for me with a drizzle of franks hot sauce... a pint glass of water and a black coffee too. Supplements wise I'll have 5g of creatine and 5g of beta alanine, works for me!

I have a shake with egg white, chocolate protein power, milk and porridge oats (ground up).

    Tastes great :D

Thanks for all the replies everyone, this week have started having a rice cake with peanut butter before I head off, feel a bit sick the first couple of times, but now have to say it does make a difference and feel a lot better, and think I am lasting a bit longer now that I am eating! I only have time for something really quick so find the rices cakes very convienent

It can be bought in Dunnes and in Asian/ethnic stores.

Google "bulletproof coffee" or "bulletproof diet" for more info. There was a discussion about it here. Basically, it works for some, but others think it's a rubbish idea.

In Dunne’s and start with a tablespoon. No need to do the full bulletproof recommendation. in the other tread linked I’m sure it’s only discussed as a weight loss aid, I can't vouch for that but as a pre-workout in the early morning its class.
