    Hi guys,

I have a technical interview with Accenture next week for a technology solutions position. Just wondering if anybody here has done the interview and what to expect? Once I've done it I'll post some information / advice up here, but in the meantime it would be great to get some advice for myself!

Accenture are very thorough. They will certainly only take the people with the best results. Congrats on the interview because that can be difficult in itself.

Can really speak of the exam as it has been a long time since I did it.

Accenture are a difficult company to work for. Very long hours (60-70) and 2 year contract before they will considering hiring as permanent. The working environment is not very pleasant either.

In saying that you would learn a lot in the role and other people will hire you based on working there.

It depends a little on which site they put you in but they work the same everywhere they are.

The main things is you are kind of in it with everybody else and they do try to make your social life revolve around the company and people you work with.

It is realistically a very good company to gain experience in.

Be careful what you get into - below should explain exactly how Accenture work.

I have worked there - I won't say too much - I'll let the wesbite speak for itself.

Only a certain type of person will survive there.

Did an interview for them recently myself. I only did it after talking to people who worked there previously and from what I heard it really depends on where you end up and who you are working with. Another key factor seems to be what you go in expecting from it. A lot of people I spoke with agree that the best attitude to take into Accenture with you is that you are going to spend at least a couple of years there then if you don't like it move on with good experience on your CV and if you like it then embrace the culture and try to climb the ladder?

After researching what it is like to work for Accenture I'm getting worried, their 60 hour work week sounds tough to say the least. Can anybody say anything nice about working in Accenture:(

Not really no. It's a bit of a running joke in IT circles, expensive consultancy sends in inexperienced grads who mess everything up. Good place to get your first year or two of experience but that's about it.

The torture chamber of IT :) Spent 6 hrs there in their interview process, pure madness, seen less interrogation in guantanamo bay!
Offered a role there but took another as I didn't get a great feel or impression about the place.
