Low flying aircraft

    Does anyone know about the very low flying small aircraft or helicopter that flew over the Inny Valley (near Waterville,Kerry) at 05.40 this morning in the dark waking us all up it was so low

    That could have been the Coast Guard. According to their Facebook page they flew from Shannon to take an injured fisherman off a trawler and fly him to Cork. Depending on the position of the trawler their route to Cork could have taken them near you.

    Helicopters at night usually means Coast Guard, Air Corps or Garda out doing important stuff.
