Can't install whatsapp on metoer phone

    I just bought a cheap Y300 on meteor for 79 notes.

    Have no intention of buying credit for it, just wanted it for Droid as my last droid phone died.

    Anyway I was trying to install whataspp but when it got round to verifying my number I got a message from metoer saying it's not possible as I've no credit - since when do you need credit to receive texts from whatsapp?

    edit: I just sent my meteor phone a text from another number and it didn't receive that either as I've no credit?
    So meteor require you to have credit to receive texts - wtf?

    Not with Meteor so don't know about needing credit but this is not really an android issue................

    You probably need to activate the sim by topping up once or something like that.

    Yea that's most likely what it is. Throw a fiver onto it, use it up first then just use WhatsApp from then on.
