Just a little info. Using an Asus n55sf laptop at the moment for all my needs but the Optimus chip is failing slowly. So I want to move to a desktop(havent had a desktop since before college 3 years ago, and it was on its last legs then)

Preferably I would prefer AMD Processor. Possibly the new am3+ chipset, I hear that AMD are using that socket for the next while allowing for upgrading.

Graphics card, I plan to upgrade to sli/crossfire in the new year. But I am open to whatever you suggest, as the last time I truly researched the hardware, the nvidia 9600gt was powering my machine and was shiny new.

So a motherboard that allows dual cards, that would be great!

    1. What is your budget? [€1000-1200]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Programming/] Dota 2/ Rome 2 total war/ Star Citizen!!! / loads of indie games(so i'll need a beast of a machine:-))

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes - windows 7 only please (i'll be dual booting with ubunntu)

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [DVD Drive RW 24x, Wireless card]

    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

5a. If yes, what size do you need.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1200] 60 refresh rate[when I go dual card]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No, have all peripherals that I need

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes] (but only a small bit at first. Last time I over clocked was the pentium 4)

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Laser]

    9. When are you purchasing? [In 30 days]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? no help needed
