Replacing My Note 2

I had a Note 2 but lost it a few months ago. I'm with O2 (company phone). I've been using an old iPhone ever since but I think I want to get my Note back. Went onto O2's website yesterday and saw the Note 2 is not there anymore. I think it's been replaced by the Note 3. Will they be able to give me a Note 2? I somehow don't think I'd be able to claim a Note 3.

If you have insurance you might have some trouble as they usually require you to have reported it within 48hrs, which by your wording you haven't. I know someone who had lost a phone and rang a few weeks later saying that he'd only lost it that day, The operator was able to tell him that he hadnt used that handset in a long time and told him what type handset he had at the time.

As for a replacement, Id imagine they will either, Have a note 2 in stock or they'll offer to give you a replacement which the nearest spec will be the note 3. Whether or not they ask you for a few quid for the upgrade really depends on who you get on the phone. But it is common enough though and Ive heard of a few people get free upgrades from iphone4's to iphone 5's and the same for galaxy s3's to s4's.
