Expired medical card how long review?

    Hey,

    Just wondering for those of you who have a Medical Card, if it expired in the past & it was under review, how long did the review take or does it take?

    I read you can continue using your expired Medical Card but for how long?

    How can a patient prove to his/her Doctor that he/she is actively in the process of the review as opposed to lies? Because I know of a person who did such for a couple of years, the Doctor didn't stand up to patient...

    Is there an allowed time frame where the patient can use the expired Medical Card, but for how long?

    Expired cards are usually renewed on a month to month basis while under review.

    You can check your 'card status' here Medical Card Online

    as also your GP can, if you like you can print off a screen shot of your card status and bring that with you if you need to visit your GP

    I have a visit card which expired at end of 09/13 and is under review but if i enter card number into above link it shows its been extended until the end of this month
