Set in a Dublin-based online news operation, it follows the adventures of Moss, Lenny and Gig, three clueless new-media chancers working for a deranged Aussie tech-millionaire who is in Ireland for the tax breaks.

And it is firmly in the tradition of adult cartoons from Beavis and Butt-Head to South Park and Family Guy, a little dumb, very crass and either incredibly offensive or hilariously out there, depending mainly on whether you are in possession of student ID.

Debuts saturday at 10pm on 3e.

Just started a thread last week on this.
Forgot to watch it last week but it looked good from the clips.

Christ it's atrocious, and not because it's "too dark" for my sensibilities, as their advertising had warned. The writing is one of the laziest attempts at that type of humour that I've come across, which is hard to understand as with such intentionally low key animation value, the writing would be it's focal selling point. The bad writing was then cemented with awful voice over.

One example of this, that was so jarringly weak that it etched in my mind, came in the form of an insult from Barack Obama no less. Mid car journey, when a request to play a CD was denied due to the car only being fitted with a cassette player, Barack rolled out the pointedly bee-stinging line: "You suck, like arthritis". The delivery of this poorly thought out line was so flat, I can't actually make out if they were going for a one off moment of anti humour, and that's being kind as I'm more inclined to say that it was just plain shíte.

Well I have to say . I had high expectations of it, when I heard that it was going to be an Irish version of South Park. Well its an Irish version of South Park all right, a ****e version. What makes South Park is that it has great satire, great irony, great characterisations and great chemistry between its characters. Newsbag has none of that , its attempts of satire are woeful and painfully juvenile. The characterisations of its characters are non-existent. There is absolutely no chemistry between the characters. As well as that it has no real plot and its just terribly disjointed, and most of all it is often painfully not funny. Quite frankly, the sooner its taking of air , the better.

I wouldn't advise it, it could be bad for your health.

I saw this advertised a couple of weeks ago as Ireland's first animated sitcom. It looked appalling and reading this thread confirms it. Glad I didn't bother

Good to see an Irish production but the production company still (after the tenth episode) can't confirm the episode titles or running order or even how many of them there are in season 1! Episode 2 seems to have been skipped completely. They did issue a press release originally listing the episodes - but now they say you shouldn't trust that!

The sad thing is this shambles is being funded by grants from the Irish government.
