Jaw issues 9 months into Orthodontic treatment

    Hi

    I am curious if anyone shared a similar experience.

    I have my braces for 9 months now, elastics are on about a month.

    Just before I got the elastics on I was experiencing issues with my ears. A sort of uncomfortable weird pressure sensation in them. After leaving it for a while I went to the doctor who told me that I had an ear infection and prescribed anitbiotics.

    Just as I finished the antibiotics my jaw stared killing me. I could barley move it due to pain in the joint up by my right ear. I went back to the doctor who told me I had an abcess and prescribed more antibiotics and pain killers.

    I still have pain in my jaw joint and my dentist who examined me today thinks its from the braces.

    Anyone any advice or had a similar experience.

    I am seeing the ortho next week so obviously I will say it to him then. I still have a strange feeling in my ear. If I lie on my front and rest on the right ear it gets quite uncomfortable. Should I say it to my GP also?
