I would like to set up a share dealing account in the name of my 18 month old daughter as a way of saving some money for her. Has anyone got any recommendations for a broker to do this. I would be buying mostly dividend bearing blue chips and holding long term.

doubt it can be done in the Childs name. I know a long time ago when i was 16 i found it impossible to open an account. Your best bet might be to open an account in both names an transfer them to the child once they turn 18
