    I found this very helpful, its from last year but the same route.
    If anyone is interested in seeing the route quickly from road level

    Actually, i'm not so sure this video has helped me since I posted it!
    Maybe I was better off before not knowing the route.....

    Trust me you're better off knowing the route. Its a good idea to go over the course yourself on a bike, that way you know exactly what lies around the next corner and when you know that it does make a difference to how you run on the day.

    +1. Ran the section called 'heartbreak Hill' today at lunch time. Despite the horrific rain and head-wind, you appreciate that the 'hill' is little more than a small climb. But the real benefit of doing a 'recce' is that you get visual clues about where the hill starts, and more importantly, where it ends. ... and just in case you can't make it to the route, these buildings on the right are a pretty good marker that you're getting close to the top of the hill!
