Hi, was just wondering if anyone has used Curaheen Tyson on heifers and if so, have they given any trouble calving? currently 5.4% CD on ICBF.

bit on the dear side for commercial use so id say the info is limited - all depends on the heifer i reckon
    apz - safer bet

if you dig a little deeper in his calving stats he's 14% for 1st parity. I think that relates to CD on heifers,
{ someone can correct me if I have it wrong } and his records to date show mostly simmental dams

Thanks for the replies lads, hadn't actually looked at the straw price but at 50 yoyos a pop I think I'll look elsewhere!

Ya, First Parity seems to refer to heifer calvings alright. You learn something new everyday.:)

I have an easy calving Tyson son reluctantly for sale, just advertised on donedeal today.
Ad is titled 'pedigree simmental stock bull' and we're in co. antrim if anyone wants to look it up.
