Shogun/Pajero rear tracking in Cork

Just wondering if anyone can recommend anywhere to me in or around Cork to get the tracking, and more importantly the camber, sorted on our Shogun?

Had to change the rear tyres last week as the inner edges had worn through to the canvas, and now with the oversize tyres fitted it looks similar to the rear of a typical X5 with the rear wheels looking like /---\

Would rather not have to take it to a main dealer, but I've tried 2 places and neither had ever done it before nor were they brave enough to attempt it. Needs sorting soon before I'm replacing another pair of tyres :(

What year? Is the camber even adjustable on the Rear?? Is Your jeep lowered by any chance?

Definitely adjustable - camber bolts where the lower wishbone bolts to the diff housing.

And 100% not lowered - though probably sagged a bit due to age/mileage.

I use Bantry tyre centre, they have a guy full time on the Tracking, thats all he does.

Cheers for the suggestion - bit of a trek from the city though!

Cool thought it was the older model pre 00.

I'll try most things, but think a ramp might be needed for this job. ;)

As for the camber gauge - how can you set camber on an unloaded corner? Isn't tracking/camber supposed to be set when all 4 wheels are loaded and on the ground?

Camber will change a lot when the wheels are weighted.

Pay no need to the picture. Yes Camber can only be set with vehicle on all 4's:pac:

Slip plates can be used, but they are expensive. Any half decent Garage should be able to adjust Camber. I dont know what kinda guys You went to,but if they cant adjust Your camber, they are in the wrong Job!

Also, have you considered worn Camber bushins??

I have indeed - which is why I'm trying (struggling) to find somewhere that knows what they're doing.

If you call to a place and ask can they do the rear camber, and they turn around and ask if the camber can actually be done on the rear ... then you already have your answer about their experience levels ;)

May have to bite the bullet and just book it in to the nearest Mitsubishi garage at this rate.

It'd be cheaper to drive to Bantry than book in to a main dealer. They don't always have 4 wheel alignment equipment either....

R & R tyres(Jerry Murphy) in Ballincollig can do it for you.

The only issue with doing the camber on the back of the pajeros is that quite often the bolts are seized to the bush and can be very difficult/impossible to turn without damaging the bush.
