Hi, my husband gets FIS for our family (couple and 3 kids). I also get a jobseekers allowance payment. I want to come off jobseekers as i am now pregnant and will not be available and actively seeking work, so i feel its only right i do this. I was wondering if and when i do stop my jobseekers payment, can my husband get our weekly FIS payment increased accordingly as we would be earning less? Our renewal date is not for 6 months. what would we have to do to get a family income supplement increase?

I don't think ya get sent out anything if I can recall the couple of times I closed from bits 'n pieces of jobs back and forth. But it can always be confirmed by putting in a phone call to your Local Office.

You are entitled to remain on JSA while pregnant and you would be excused from signing for 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after your due date.

FIS will not make changes until the renewal date.
