Chances of BTEA being cut during budget?

Hey guys, just reading about the budget today. Getting worried about my payment being slashed.

I was reading its likely that those under 24 will receive a maximum of €100 a week. I wonder will this apply to BTEA under 24?

I'm 23 and have been cut from €188 to €160 this year for BTEA. If I am reduced to €100 a week I don't think I could afford to stay in university. Which would be heartbreaking.

Does anyone know of any proposed cuts or changes to BTEA? Thanks!

A lot of the time budget cuts are for new entrants only

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
