is there any business sales number that can be called that does not force someone to listen to almost 4 minutes of "options"

very frustrating that you have no option but to listen each time to a monotone of if you are calling for x,y or z call a number, if you are calling for abc call this, if you are calling for jkl call this.

As the number I call is for a specific business desk why do I have to listen to this pre-recorded stuff each and every time. ????

Very very frustrating! Especially when you do get through they invariably put you though to someone else and you are on hold yet again - twice today over 10 minutes and got no-where by time  had to end the call to take another call.

Surely if you give a business phone contact, it can be directed to the business team and not assumed that everyone wants to report a fault (networks) or is calling for a residential item.

    Hi sandin,

Sorry to hear of your frustration. Is the number you're ringing 1850 30 50 70?

We have two lines for business customers; 1850 30 50 70 is sales-specific, whilst 1850 372 787 is the best number to contact for existing Electric Ireland business customers.

If you like, we could arrange a callback? Please feel free to send us your details by PM.

    Regards,
    David

second number worked perfectly - maybe ask someone in electric ireland to ring the 1st number and see what a customer has to'experience when they call you. Surely there's a way to cut the near 4 minute spiel to about 30 seconds?

Thanks for the feedback; I'll be sure to pass it on so that it is taken on board.

If there's anything else we can help with don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards,
    David
