    Hi,

Just wondering does anyone know where i could get some info on a horse drawn hay rake. I have one and am going to attempt to restore it over the winter. It is a Celtic hay rake manufactured by Wexford Engineering and am interested in finding out about the workings of it, so if anyone has or knows the whereabouts of vidoes/photos showing one in operation, that would be great! Cheers

It's pretty simple, all it does it gather loose hay in the field into convenient heaps for making up bigger hay ricks or for loading and taking away to haybarn.

Drop the tines, drive horse forward until you gather enough hay up, then raise the tines. Think some may have had an extra like a 'self trip' feature.

Wexford Engineering (Star Iron Works) were located in Wexford town and were competitors of Pierce's of Wexford.
