Ford Focus Rear centre seat belt jammed

So, got the wife a 06 5dr Focus over the weekend.

This evening I noticed that I couldn't pull out the rear centre seat belt. I tried to give it a bit of slack, by lowering down the back rest, to see could I get it to release. As I did so, it tightened even further! Now the back rest is fully horizontal and can't get the back rest up into the vertical position because the seat belt has no slack left!

I don't have a proper torx bit at the moment (I'll get one tomorrow), but I can just about get in at the receiver/anchor. If I remove that completely, I'll be able to move the back rest back up, but I reckon I have a broken seat belt pre-tensioner.

Has anyone ever seen this issue, or worked with them on a Focus. It looks like the pre-tensioner is in the back rest somewhere, but can't see how I can access it?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks
