A friend of mine has a pine double bed that has been lying out his back for awhile and seeing as i could do witg the double bed in my holiday home, i want to take it. Heres the problem thou, there is some black mould right through the pine. Im thinking of takinh it and trying to clean it up somehow. Ny first thoughts where to sand it but seeing as theres mould through it, thats a no-no. Now im thinking of painting it but what sort of paint could i use foe this and what colour. White would be my first thought but im thinking that would be to easy dirty. Any suggestions folks. Itll prob get turned into fire wood but would prefer to restore it somehow.

I wouldnt fancy sleeping on a bed that had mould right through the timber either , coudnt be good for the lungs .
You could probably pick one up off adverts for next to nothing that would be in perfect condition
