3 ko/tko's for Sharkbait MMA . Good showing from the Limerick lads.

Really enjoyable night. Highlight was Kieran O'Brien's flying head kick knock out to win his pro debut in 28 seconds. Wow. This guy is UFC bound.

Very impressed by the Sharkbait guys who looked really good in there. Was gutted for Darren O'Gorman who lost a split decision to Keith Coady - I had Darren winning the first two rounds but it was very very close. Looking forward to their rematch.

Was also impressed with Mick Brennan. He survived three rounds of Sean Tobin's grinding style and turned it around in the fourth to sink in a very nice rear naked choke.

Also impressing me on the night were Ben Sheehan who picked up a lovely triangle win in the opening match, and Lloyd Manning's TKO win in the second - Manning had been quite hyped up in the build up to his MMA debut and he really didn't disappoint.

Well done to Battlezone for putting on another excellent show and I'm looking forward to the next one on nov 23

Some event, great KOs by the Limerick lads (pressure on me to win now come Battlezone 10 ), the pro fights were great (that insta KO by Kieran was fantastic, I feel sorry for the Portuguese lad). most (all?) titles fought for were lost and won by the challnger. I liked the Kilkenny lad vs Sean Tobin(?). Had better standup but couldn't defend the takedowns, but his guard was decent. Defended the rear naked in the third and cardio won it for him in the fourth as he came out a lot stronger than his opponent.

Manning's fight lived up to the hype, great outside leg sweep (dat Judo...) immediately to mount, took back control, landed a few shots; he won by rear naked, though, did he not? He is a scary prospect for MMA in the future. I laughed at his Britney Spears entrance song too :P
