    does anyone have a list of themes of heaney's poetry?

    I can't list them all now but if you have the New Discovery book, there's a table at the back which lists some main themes for each poet on the course.

    Also, you'd get some better responses in the main Leaving Cert forum as opposed to the Study Log forum. But don't duplicate the thread, just ask for it to be moved.

    In my poetry book craft, love, family, childhood, conflict/violence, nature, memory, the marvellous, changing world, poetry, sense of place and community are mentioned. There's a table at the back detailing which themes apply to which poems, and where the evidence of this is.
