    Hi, I am new to all this, signed on for the first time a few weeks ago and got my first payment today. When the lady at the office rang me she said due to means testing I was entitled to 40 a week of the job seekers allowance, and I got a letter out in the post saying the same thing and I was to collect my first payment today (Friday) and every Thursday after that, but when I went down to collect it, it was only for 13 euro! Does anyone know is this just because it was my first payment? Or is that all I will be getting every week? Thanks for any help!

    Hi. For your first week, they don't give you anything for your first 3 days. So you should get the 40 from next week on
