Is my solicitor not interested

Been using a solicitor to settle an ongoing dispute, sent a few letters through him, seems to think the thing has fizzled out but it hasn't and seems to be taking a new subtle twist. I am concerned and wish for him to address the issue but hasn't returned my calls or emails in a month...is he not interested or what?

He has not even sent me a bill of anything to date to told me the costs of the letters, never issued a section 68 letter of costs when started so I have no idea what is going on. I need a solicitor but one who is interested in doing a bit of work...is this normal and should I just hang in there?

Does he arrive late for appointments?
Got a scent of Miss Dior when he walks in the door?
Does his secretary ever make excuses for his absences?

    you better know yourself gurlfriend.

Solicitors work in a prioritized fashion, being whatever case is potentially worth more to them.

Must be fairly low priority if he hasn't replied in over a month. If you could call over in person you might get the answers your looking for.

Seems so. I rang and left many messages and spoke with him twice which he said he hasn't had the chance to look at it yet.

Should i ask for the bill, settle up and move?

Well if you think that you are getting bad service and would be treated better elsewhere then yes.

Solicitors are the same as any other service provider in this regard. If you don't like him, dump him. Just make sure to pay the bill when you do.
