Dan Rafael reporting that Broner v Maidana is sorted for December 14th.
The card is also going to feature
Victor Ortiz v Carlos Molina (light-middleweight one)
Keith Thurman v Jesus Soto Karass
    Alfredo Angulo v Jorge Melendez.

This looks like an excellent card. Definitely one for the diary.

The week before is Judah v Malignaggi and Lara v Trout.

Good card, Maidana is very limited so another comfortable night for Broner.

I've been a bit underwhelmed with Broner's progress myself. He is good, but not exactly un-hittable. Maidana is unlikely to be blown away and he has the power to give Broner something to think about. If Broner is to have superstar pretensions he needs to put on a decent show against Maidana. His performance against Malignaggi didn't do much (if anything) for his reputation.

    Strongly disagree.

Maidana is one of the most overrated fighters out there. He can be easily outboxed and will be by Broner.

I'm still undecided on weather Broner is the real deal. For this fight, i think he'll beat Maidana and probably knock him out. My criticism with him is that his lack of footwork makes him fairly static and hittable, some shots will be blocked with the shoulder roll but others times he can be exposed to the body just like the Malignaggi fight.

    Strongly disagree :D

Broner is not that good at all, but Maidana is a great style match-up for him.

    Late Ko for Broner imo.

If Gavin Rees had enough ability to give Broner problems for a few rounds then Maidana definitely will.
    Potentially a great fight!

The Molina v Oritz fight on this card has been knocked on the head. The IBF wouldn't sanction the fight, basically because Ortiz doesn't warrant fighting for a world title right now. It is the correct decision, but I'm still a bit disappointed because Ortiz is usually entertaining enough to watch.

A bit like Khan in that respect. No one likes him all that much but you know you're likely to get some sort of drama with him.

Pictures from a Broner-Maidana presser. Broner looks quite a bit bigger than Maidana which is surprising.

Easy win for Broner. I don't know how people don't see the type of ability he has. I also don't know how people thought Malinaggi did well against him. He'll stop Maidana in the second half of the fight.

It looks like Broner has been dining out on twinkies
